Banana Fried Eggs Recipe: Snack Idea For Kids

If you’re thinking of trying a healthy yet delicious snack recipe for your kid(s), bananas and eggs should be two ingredients you should consider experimenting with.

Since I discovered this recipe, it has been one of my favorites, especially since it’s quick and can be eaten at any time of the day or night. It’s even interesting that you can make the snack sweeter by drizzling some honey on it.

Ingredients

  • Ripe Banana
  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of table salt
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Time

  • Prep time: 5 minutes
  • Cook time: 5 minutes

Equipment

  • Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Stove Top

Directions

  1. Crack and beat the eggs in a medium bowl. At this point, remember to add a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vegetable oil.
  2. Peel and mash the banana on another plate. In this case, you can use a fork.
  3. On the same plate, combine the beaten eggs with the mashed banana. Whisk them together until they form a harmonious blend. You’ve successfully combined two key ingredients of your healthy breakfast!
  4. Grease your frying pan with butter or vegetable oil. You can also spray it with non-stick spray (if you prefer it).
  5. Turn the stove on medium-low heat.
  6. Now, gently pour the mixture into the pan. Remember, patience is key here-avoid overcooking or burning the egg. A perfect fried egg needs 2 to 3 minutes of cooking on each side.
  7. Serve with your favorite side dish or drink. Drizzle with honey or preferable syrup (optional) and enjoy.

Recipe Special Notes

  • You can use your preferred vegetable oil, but butter is also okay
  • Use medium to low heat to avoid burning the egg
  • You can fry small batches or fry the entire piece at a go
