Fruit smoothies are one of the few healthy and wholesome drinks you can ever take. They are not only made from readily available ingredients and are also easy to prepare and have in minutes. They first time I had a fruit smoothie was when I was trying so hard to gain weight, and to my shock they helped me add a few pounds.

I usually prepare my smoothies with any type of fruit I have at my disposal. Of the few fruits I love to include is a banana, blueberries, and sometimes avocado. Even though simple, an ideal fruit smoothie should have at least a peace of very fruit you can lay your hands on – I love to call it a “magical concoction.”

Since I am always in search of healthier options, I recently made one of the best fruit smoothies that I would like to share with you today. This smoothie contains some of my favorite frits, including banana, pawpaw, and mango.

Ingredients

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup chopped watermelon, seeds removed
  • 1 cup chopped pawpaw (papaya), seeds removed
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple
  • 2 ripe tree tomatoes (tamarillos), peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut water, natural yogurt, or regular water (adjust as needed for desired consistency)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep Fruits: Wash and chop all the fruits as indicated in the ingredients list.
  2. Blend: In a blender, combine the banana, avocado, watermelon, pawpaw, pineapple, and tree tomatoes.
  3. Add Liquid: Pour in the coconut water, yogurt, or drinking water to help with blending.
  4. Blend Again: Blend all the ingredients until smooth. If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can add a handful of ice cubes at this stage and blend until incorporated.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or thickness as desired. You can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  6. Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with a slice of pineapple or a sprig of mint if desired.
  7. Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste of this tropical fruit smoothie!

Bottomline

This smoothie is not only delicious but also packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it a perfect choice for a healthy breakfast or snack. However,:

  • You can customize the smoothie by adding other fruits as desired.
  • For a creamier texture, you can add a splash of coconut milk.
  • Feel free to experiment with the proportions of each fruit to suit your taste preferences.
